Basic sewing course
No experience with the sewing machine? The Basic Sewing Course is for you!
No experience is needed because we will accompany you step by step starting from the basics, such as using the sewing machine or cutting the fabric.
A maximum of 5 participants is expected, to allow us to follow each one with the right attention.
The appointment is once a week in our laboratory in Milan in via Baldinucci 60, for four consecutive weeks and each lesson lasts 1 hour and a half .
You can choose between an evening course, one evening a week from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, and a weekend course, on Saturdays from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
What we will learn
We will start the course with the basics, with an introduction to the sewing machine: operation, accessories and feet, adjustments and types of stitch, maintenance.
We will then learn how to do some hand stitching, make hems and sew on buttons.
We will put into practice what we have learned by making two projects : the first is a tote bag, the second is a choice between a clutch bag and a custom-made skirt!
With practice we will learn other fundamental notions, such as taking measurements, placing the pattern and cutting the fabric, and finishing touches.
Price and materials
The price of the basic course is 190.00 € and includes:
- use of machinery and all laboratory equipment
- materials and fabric: you can choose one of our exclusive illustrated fabrics or request a plain fabric
- patterns and handouts
You don't have to bring anything, just your desire to create!
At the end of the course you will take home:
- everything you have achieved
- paper patterns (if the course requires their creation)

handouts with step-by-step explanations, to make accessories and garments independently
