Ciao a tutti! Il roundup di oggi è dedicato ad una pianta che da circa un anno è tra le più ricercate di Pinterest ed è ormai diventata un must-have per gli amanti dello stile Urban Jungle…la Monstera Deliciosa! Sbirciando tra le foto su Instagram e Pinterest, la Monstera fa capolino o è protagonista negli interni delle case dallo spirito bohémien o minimalista. Il motivo è che si tratta di una pianta davvero scenografica: le incisioni e le perforazioni che caratterizzano le foglie, permettono a queste ultime di muoversi e di orientarsi verso la luce e le rendono uniche, tutte diverse. Sono quasi delle piccole opere d’arte, e infatti Matisse era solito rappresentarle nelle sue opere (un gigantesco esemplare di Monstera era presente nel suo studio di Nizza). E’ una maestosa pianta tropicale che può raggiungere dimensioni notevoli. Per il nostro piccolo (piccolissimo!) appartamento un esemplare di Monstera sarebbe decisamente troppo ingombrante, purtroppo 🙁 . Hello everyone! Today’s roundup is about a plant that is a trend on Pinterest since the last year and has now become a must-have for the Urban Jungle style lovers…the Monstera Deliciosa! While peeking through Instagram and Pinterest pics, Monstera says peek-a-boo or stands out in the houses with a bohemian or minimalist spirit. The reason of this success is that this is a truly scenographic plant: the engravings and the perforations that characterize the leaves allow the latter to move and to orient themselves towards light and make them unique, all different. They nearly are little artworks and, as a matter of fact, Matisse used to represent them in his paintings (a gigantic Monstera was planted in his art studio in Nice). It’s a majestic tropical plant that can reach remarkable sizes. For our tiny (very tiny!) apartment a Monstera would definitely be too bulky, unfortunately 🙁 .
